(DIY) Painted Wood Ornaments + Gift Toppers

This is a super simple decoration project, but I wanted to share it anyhow because the exact wood ornaments I used are really affordable and accessible (available at Target – online and in-store).

Plus, you can use them as little gift toppers and stocking stuffers too. So, here nosotros go!

Painted Wood Ornaments (Materials)

• These exact Sugar Paper forest ornaments from Target. They're $4 for a pack of iii.
• Paint (I used Holbein Acryla Gouachepaint)
• Paint brush (I used a pointed round paint castor)
• Sealant (matte or gloss)
• Scissors
• Skinny ribbon (optional)
• Decoration hooks (optional)

Notes almost Materials:I bought 5 packs, for a total of 15 ornaments (total toll $20).

I usedHolbein Acryla Gouachepaint because it comes in more than bawdy tones that I honey, straight out of the tube and dries very, very matte. Just yous just equally easily use acrylic paint. I included a photo of the verbal paints that I used and then that if you similar these, you can employ the exact same colors. And if you'd prefer non to store at Amazon, here's an art supply store (Cheap Joe's Art Stuff) that carries pretty much every color imaginable.

I concluded upwardly mixing some of the colors together to create a few more options, merely many of the colors on these ornaments are straight form the tube. And I used a small round tip castor which worked nifty.

Painted Wood Ornaments

And and so for the spinning top shaped ornaments, I completely painted over the existing designs.

One time dry out, you can use a matte or gloss sealant on top and then they're fix to hang, with a new ribbon or on wire hooks.
